Nisaburō was a painter and printmaker whose work included more than forty woodblock prints of flowers and (or) birds. The size and shape of his print designs were quite diverse and the ten prints shown in this gallery illustrate this diversity. Click on a picture to enlarge it. In the smaller prints (e.g. prints 1-2) flowers and birds were drawn only semi-accurately while in the larger prints (e.g., prints 3-10) they were drawn accurately, more typical of early 20th century Japanese flower-bird art.
